Job Description

Base salary offered in the £40-50,000 range with excellent bonus to 27.5%This role can be mostly remote based, with around 1 day a week expected to go to the office.We are partnering with a highly respected FTSE 100 organisation that are striving to build a world class analytics team to deliver meaningful, sustainable and long-term solutions that respond to the needs of the business and customers, who are looking forexperienced Commercial Analysts / Analytics Developers to join their team.About the roleAs a Commercial Data Analyst, you will be supporting a team that would be responsible for delivering valuable insight into customers behaviour at different stages of their activity, making recommendations on CRM and engagement strategies for different customersegments, and helping to initiate, implement and optimize such initiatives. You will also be responsible for the creation and optimisation of dashboards and their presentation to key stakeholders.Another key aspect of the role will be the collaboration with multiple teams in designing engaging campaigns that can be measured, conducting the pre and post-campaign analysis, provide cost estimations and create measurement plans for A/B tests and marketingexperiments. You will deliver marketing analytics projects in areas such as segmentation, customer lifetime value, channel mix optimization, cross sell/up sell and personalization. You will also be a key point in the Gaming Innovations team working on Datamodelling for optimising player experiences.To do this you will use a wide range of customer data including communication, campaign, transactional, engagement and product data. You will be using established analytical, and ideally predictive modelling techniques, to generate data insights and translatethese into clear business stories that drive action.Main responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of insightful analytical projects that optimally translate the brand/labels queries into actionable insights.
  • Translating business requirements into meaningful KPIs and provide input to the reporting team to generate standardised reports to monitor and drive business decisions.
  • Someone who ideally has experience in SQL, R, Python and Excel and confident when visualising results of analytical projects via tools such as Power BI and / or Tableau and / or R.
  • Be responsible for developing reports, dashboards, datasets, and other reporting tools.
  • Liaising with business functions to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Contributing to an environment that reshapes the reporting function from reactive and task-based to proactive and forward-looking to help guide the business.
  • Identify gaps in existing information provision and opportunities for new levels of support.
  • Collecting, organizing, analysing and interpreting data and statistical information to extrapolate behavioural patterns from the data that will provide innovation, direction that can be used to take back to the business using SQL and visualization tools
  • Understanding the business requirements from the stakeholders perspective and frame clear problem statements back to senior managers.
  • Understanding business performance and explaining the story behind the numbers in an engaging manner.
  • Forecasting key KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with the casino/ live/ bingo managers and coordinators to understand their daily challenges.
  • Provide the Gaming Innovation team with ad-hoc, or regular reporting to support ongoing operations
Ideal candidate profile
  • Proven experience in analytics (minimum 5 years of related experience).
  • Strong analytical skills in utilizing and visualising data in Excel and other tools (ex: Power BI, Tableau, Business Objectives, QlikView, MicroStrategy, R and Python) and cloud frameworks (ex: GCP).
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Excellent in analysing large and multifaceted datasets.
  • Analytical mind and business acumen.
  • Experience of predictive analytics and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong application of descriptive analytics and statistical techniques.
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A degree in mathematics, statistics, analytics, or relevant field would be considered an asset.
