Job Description

Commercial Construction Project Manager - Media Sector - Construction / FM company - Central London / Hybrid - c£50,000We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and commercially aware Commercial Construction Project Manager, with approximately 2-4+ years construction experience and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, to join a successful organisation in London.Our client undertakes a range of exciting commercial construction projects, primarily in the media sector. The Commercial Project Manager’s main responsibility will be to assist with running various construction sites, so we are looking for someone who has the ability to manage all the trades whilst also being able to liaise with the clients/client’srepresentatives and external authorities.You will be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and will possess the ability to manage budgets and produce weekly reports. Experience using Microsoft products is required and experience with MS Projects is highly beneficial.What’s on offer:This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3-5 years experience in Construction Project Management to join a highly successful organisation with a fantastic client base in the media sector.Our client is paying a competitive salary of c£50k (dependent on experience) and hybrid working is available with 3 days on site (London-centric) and 2 days at home.Key responsibilities as the Commercial Construction Project Manager will include:

  • Assisting with running construction sites
  • Coordinating project programmes
  • Managing all trades
  • Liaising with clients/client’s representatives
  • Liaising with external authorities (building control, CDM etc)
  • Producing weekly reports
  • Managing change control
  • Assisting with budget management
  • Liaising with administrator to place orders and reconcile payments
What we’re looking for:
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrable experience in a similar design and build project management role within the construction industry (approximately 2-4 years)
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding / knowledge of furniture procurement and installation
  • Understanding /experience of IT, broadcast and/or networks is highly beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Experience in costing documents
  • IT literate with experience of MS products - MS Project is highly beneficial
  • AutoCad skills are highly beneficial
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Highly organised with the ability to run multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to minute meetings
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Full driving licence
