As well as promotingexcellence in compliance, our clients solution significantly removes friction in the customer experience. The solution will perform state of the art, real time watchlist screening using the most advanced technology solutions for list management, alert generationand disposition.About the roleOur client is seeking a highly skilled Java Software Architect with experience in cloud application development, event-driven design, low latency, Kafka, and AWS services. The ideal candidate will have a combination of software architecture and cloud solutionarchitecture skills.You will define and own architectural designs for the companys capabilities and ensure that development is undertaken in line with the architectural design. Working closely with the companys architecture team and engineering teams, you will be subjectmatter expert for the designed solution with the engineering team, ensuring best practice software architecture in order to meet functional and non-functional needs.What youll do Lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable, and reliable cloud-based applications. Working with Product Owner to translate business requirements into architectural document covering high level architecture with runtime/building block/runtime/development views, constraints, scope, solution strategy, architectural decision,and non NFRs. Working with our chosen Delivery Partner, Client Security architects and Platform team on detailed solution design and technical requirements which feeds into the Low Level design Support the Head of Architecture on architecture guidelineso Present technical designs for approval via the Design Authority forumo Provide recommendation on how Solution Architecture and Design should be set up within the company going forwards Collaborate with cross-functionality teams and across capabilities to understand business requirements E2E and develop solutions that meet those requirements. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams.- you need someone with previous leadership exp Establish, communicate and advocate best practice and design patternsRequired Experience 2-3 years of relevant experience as an AWS solution and data architect. 5-7 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with demonstrable experience in cloud based, low latency, and event driven application development. Expert level of software development and event driven design applying SOLID software architecture design patter e.g. DDD and ES. Hands on experience in using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, AWS services e.g. S3, Lambda, KMS, Lake Formation, RDS, EKS, MSK, Event Bridge, Step Function and Cloud agnostic services e.g. HashiCorp Vault and Consul, Experience in developing for and deploying to public cloud services especially to Kubernetes environment e.g. EKS, consul, and vault. Experience working in Financial Services sector is a large plus Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies Comfortable in using different Linux environments e.g. Redhat Fluent in written and spoken business English Experience of working in Agile/Scrum with virtual teams Experience in DevOps, scrum/agile methodologies and using CI/CD tools such as Github, Terraform.*Once a month at the officeNeeds to travel to Gdansk when required.
