Job Description

Our Client is an International IT Value Added Reseller (VAR).The roleThe primary purpose of the Cloud BDM is to be an overlay sales function with Cloud specialist knowledge to lead the sales engagement from start to finish on opportunities from proactive sales engagement with aligned account owners.The role is to promote and sell the complete portfolio of cloud services and supporting managed services to the Clients customers to achieve personal targets set annually that contribute to the overall team target.The available portfolio today is extensive but summarised to:

  • Cloud Platform Services
o Iaaso Azureo AWS
  • Associated productised professional and managed services
  • Partner Services (Cloud Community)
o Global UCaaSo Cyber Securityo Global SD WANo Global ColocationThe role holder will be heavily involved and/or lead with:
  • profiling/uncovering potential customers;
  • qualifying and leading the initial business discussions with the client;
  • following up and providing written materials (proposal etc);
  • objection handling and closing the sale; and
  • drafting the contract service schedules.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively work across sales account managers seeking opportunities
  • Be the subject matter expert/specialist for Cloud Services in order to drive pipeline and lead the sale individually
  • Achieve and exceed targets and KPIs
  • Build strong cloud services pipeline
  • Build strong relationships with the Account Management team who own the customer relationship
  • Keep up to date with knowledge of Public Cloud programmes
  • Support the Cloud Services management in achieving the cloud services targets.
Experience
  • At least 4 years successful sales experience with targets met or exceeded as business development or direct sales/account management.
  • Experienced sales closer able to operate up to C level
  • Good understanding of Cloud/Services sales and sales cycles/processes
  • Market knowledge in IT arena with focus on cloud and services
  • Experience of writing (owning) and contributing to sales proposals and bid responses
  • Excellent presentation skills (articulate and engaging)
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external customers
Good understanding/experience of an overlay sales role in generalThe role is hybrid with upto 2 days a week expected in the Central London Office. Travel to Clients and satellite offices UK wide.The role will pay upto £65k bonus (there is scope for negotiation for an exceptional candidate, OTE Yr 1 £155k.
