Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure EngineerType: PermanentLocation: Main office in London, but role can predominantly be remote.Salary: Up to £67,000 per annum (some potential movement on this)Cloud Infrastructure Engineer required to join a growing technical software company. The chosen candidate will join their small Infrastructure team to help scale their platform and help boost development opportunities and deployment pipelines.This great opportunity to join a market leader in their field who have invested heavily in modern technology stacks and have large growth plans in the coming years.This role will involve supporting and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture along with a range of other responsibilities -

  • Liaise with technical Architects to ensure quality of service is consistently provided to cloud systems
  • Responsible for capacity planning and proposing approaches to running workloads using technologies to scale resources to demand within tightly managed budget constraints
  • Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers
  • Building up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment
  • Produce and update documentation sets
  • Manage the configuration of all Cloud systems, both internal and external to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our systems at all times
  • Manage the tools and infrastructure within out release and deployment pipelines to provide better analytics and fast feedback on all processes
  • Automate procedures within the release and deployment pipeline, including testing and validation of releases, to enhance our validation of safe software
Key Skills/Experience (not all of this skills are essential and company will consider a range of experiences)
  • System, administration and configuration management skills in on cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud but will consider equivalent experience with AWS/Azure
  • Use and development of Terraform for managing cloud assets
  • Experience working on technical projects within a team
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Kubernetes Experience
  • Managing and orchestrating scalable Docker-based applications
  • Security standards such as ISO 27001
  • Networking (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
  • Proxy services
  • Infrastructure upgrade
