As a Barclays Cloud Engineer, you will engineer and develop components and applications that make up the GTIS (Global Technology Infrastructure services) Public Cloud offering. These include traditional web applications hosted on premise, infrastructureas code solutions and server less based applications hosted within AWS and Azure. What will you be doing Driving deliveries assigned within through an agile project methodology Providing daily subject matter expertise and suggest new ways forward and coming up with new feature ideas Designing scalable distributed applications Inputting into product configurations, software choices, interoperability, CI/CD framework implementation Reading and writing documentation and specifications Taking ownership of the application architecture including all engineering environments Working with POs to define technical roadmaps Working with test to team to ensure good QA practises and delivery of a high quality product What were looking for: Experience working on Python Practical Experience in Cloud Platform foundational products, such as AWS Service Catalog, Config, IAM etc Experience with Agile methodologies, version control (GIT), RDBMs, Restful APIs Experience with automated testing approaches e.g. BDD, Unit, TDD and practical understanding of CI/CD processes, concepts and benefits Skills that will help you in the role: Experience with Infrastructure as code Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Database design and RDBMS experience, ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy Experience with Restful API development Authentication/Authorisation technologies like Active Directory Where will you be workingIn the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
