Our client is the UKs leading charity for everyone who has a mark, scar or condition that makes them look different. Their Wellbeing Services aim to build confidence and resilience, empowering people to manage their feelings, cope in different social settings, handle other peoples reactions or deal with transitions such as starting school, university or work. The charity is currently embarking on a revisioning and redefinition of their 1:1 and clinical model across their wellbeing offering, and are looking for an experienced Service Manager to play a pivotal part in this.Working closely with the Head of Wellbeing Service, you will lead the research, design, development and implementation of their new clinical model. You will line manage four Wellbeing Practitioners, who deliver a range of social and emotional, experiential learning and therapeutic support to children, young people and adults affected by visible difference, across the UK. You will quality assure the knowledge, skills and practices of the Wellbeing Team, including ensuring requirements for continuing professional development, core competencies and supervision are met. You will hold a small caseload, delivering 1:1 counselling interventions (remotely and in person) and facilitating peer support to people who present with mild to moderate levels of emotional distress/mental health concerns related to their visible difference.To apply for this exciting opportunity, you will be a qualified psychologist, psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor with demonstrable post-qualification experience, managing a client caseload in a health or social care charity or statutory setting. You will have significant line management experience of clinical or therapeutic staff and of leading by example within a clinical setting. You will have extensive experience of leading high quality service delivery, and maintaining clinical practice consistency, as well demonstrable experience of innovation within services and service design.
