HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATED INFECTION AND ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE (HCAI & AMR) DIVISIONThe mission of the HCAI & AMR Division within the National Infection Service is to protect people from healthcare-associated and antimicrobial resistant infections, through world-leading public health microbiology, outbreak response, surveillance, research and interventions.SIREN (Sarscov2 Immunity & Reinfection EvaluatioN) studyThe SIREN study aims to find out whether healthcare workers who have evidence of prior COVID-19, detected by antibody assays (positive antibody tests), compared to those who do not have evidence of infection (negative antibody tests) are protected from future episodes of infection. This is a new, large-scale study collecting data of healthcare workers on their history of COVID-19 infection and any new symptoms.JOB SUMMARYThe post holder will lead the delivery of the grant-funded SIREN study conducted by the HCAI & AMR Division. This will be achieved by taking the lead role in the design, co-ordination, implementation and successful delivery of the study, including taking the lead as appropriate in the analysis and reporting of the research findings.
