Job Description

Full-time; £45,000 to £50,000 p.a. (depending on experience). Blended working pattern of 4 days in person in Harley Street with 1 day remote working to support specialist interest evening groups. It is anticipated that the remote day will require a later start and finish time.About UsThe Giaroli Centre (www[dot]dr-giaroli[dot]org) is a leading Child, Adolescent and Adult Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Centre on prestigious Harley Street, Central London. Our collaborative team of 12 psychiatrists, psychologists and speech and language therapist provide expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and Autism from childhood to adulthood.The centre is experiencing unprecedented demand for its services and in response to this is expanding its multi disciplinary clinical team by recruiting an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber with a background in CAMHS neurodevelopmental psychiatry and/or learning disabilities, with some experience in adults too.It is an exciting time to be joining the team and the successful candidate will have significant input into the development of the role and how we can ensure we continue to provide the very best service to all of our clients.The Role

  • We are looking for an RMN/RNMH (Mental Health Nurse, Level 1) or RNLD (Learning Disabilities Nurse, Level 1) and who already holds the Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Qualification with experience in a child and adolescent setting.
  • Largely advisory although it is anticipated that over time you may hold your own caseload and participate actively in the assessment and diagnosis process for ADHD and Autism.
  • First point of contact within the centre for prescribing queries and questions and will also be the first point of contact for repeat prescription requests.
  • Designing, developing and managing special interest groups for clients in all aspects of ADHD and Autism will be a significant part of your responsibility, so an interest in both current and future thinking across neurodevelopmental psychiatryis a must.
  • Developing effective review and recall processes for all clients who are on medication and carry out regular audit activity in support of this. Championing best practice in medication review protocol, ensuring all associated NICE guidelinesare incorporated.
  • Using your extensive knowledge and experience of psychiatric presentations to provide clinical triage support alongside our full-time Referrals Manager.
  • Sharing your knowledge and expertise with our clients as well as the wider clinical and operational team.
  • Maintaining strong links with a range of other clinical specialist professionals outside of the centre will allow you to be able to signpost clients to other services when appropriate, and you will be expected to identify new relationships and sources of support as your knowledge develops.
  • Working collaboratively with educational establishments and their respective SENDCO (Special Educational Needs / Disabilities Coordinator) staff, and will play a key role in the interface between the centre and the school.
You will be a key part of our very supportive multi disciplinary team (MDT) and will have access to regular supervision from the Psychiatry team. In return we offer the opportunity for you to join us at this exciting time in the centres growth and to growand develop alongside us.Benefits
  • Full-time Permanent; 40 hours per week
  • Competitive salary £45,000 to £50,000 p.a. (depending on experience)
  • You will be based out of our Harley Street Consulting rooms for 4 days of your Monday to Friday working week. The 5th day you will work remotely coordinating and facilitating the special interest groups. It is anticipatedthat these will take place in the evening so a later start/later finish working day will be required to meet the needs of the groups on that remote day.
