Job Purpose StatementWhere youll fit in & what our team goals are.... We are looking for a Climate Change Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging at a senior level on climate change risks and opportunities with companies we or our clients invest in. You will be responsible for written and verbal communication of your engagement including the production of thought leadership and presentations to clients. You will also contribute to the wider environmental and climate change work of the team, including implementationof our Net Zero ambition and climate-related disclosure. Role ResponsibilitiesHow youll spend your time .... Research & engagement on climate change:

  • Undertake company and thematic research to advise investment and engagement, within an allocated sector(s).
  • Conduct engagement with companies in these sectors at all organisational levels from board chair to operational specialists.
  • Support the proxy voting process, by providing analysis on environmental and social resolutions in allocated sector(s).
  • Establish and lead relationships with investment teams internally, and relevant industry networks externally, to support engagement.
Communication & reporting:
  • Produce high-quality write-ups including analysis of individual company meetings, ESG thematic research and thought leadership.
  • Present externally as needed to clients and in industry groups on themes and industries and internally to assist in education of the wider business on the issues.
  • Promote the Responsible Investment team in the wider ESG marketplace.
Key CapabilitiesTo be successful in this role you will have. ...
  • Solid previous experience. This could be through direct company engagement or ESG research experience; relevant finance sector expertise, such as equity analysis; or a corporate role in a sector with significant climate transition exposure.
  • Strong analytical research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
  • A passion to understand and build ESG knowledge and apply it in a practical context to achieve significant change through engagement.
  • An ability to work autonomously and take ownership, but also able to work effectively as part of a broader team with a strong sense of collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Oil & Gas experience desirable
