Job Description

  • To service existing clients and cross sell new products in Fixed Income and relevant assets
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables
  • Ensure that actions are in accordance with M&Gs Business Principles and with the Regulators principles on good conduct and market integrity
  • Help set context for investment
  • Ensure clients are satisfied with the way M&G is dealing with them, including that their objectives are being properly addressed
  • Ensure the escalation of all operational concerns to senior management (incl., but not exclusively relating to Conflicts, TCF, suspicious trading activities etc.)
  • As Client Director, ensure relevant information regarding clients guidelines and risk tolerances is passed onto a) fund managers to enable them to manage portfolios in line with client requirements and b) Compliance so that, where possible, restrictionsare coded
  • Keep detailed records of all client communication and ensure that this is circulated to team
  • Ensure client requests are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Complete projects assigned by Head of Institutional Public Debt to ensure communication to consultants and potential clients of key products
Key Measures

  • Effectiveness of procedures to pick up errors, resolution of same
  • Undertake and record CPD as per T&C scheme

  • Ongoing monitoring of performance and guideline breaches
  • One to one meetings / appraisals with Head of Institutional Public Debt

Qualifications
  • Appropriately recognised professional qualification, such as the IMC or CFA; &/or
  • Demonstrable track record and experience
Knowledge & Experience
  • Investment management experience - both bond and general
  • Client/product experience - particularly pension/insurance area
  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework
