Our client, an expanding run off company, seek a Reinsurance Claims Adjuster. The Claims Adjuster is responsible for ensuring the effective management and/or settlement of claims in Reinsurance Casualty, APH & Property; as well as assisting with the developmentand execution of proactive claims management strategies.Applicants should have prior Reinsurance claims handling experience.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Handle own case load; analyse critical data and factual reports; set appropriate reserves; assist in the negotiation of settlements directly with Cedants; and, be comfortable with making and supporting own decisionsUpdate claims file by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information in compliance with best practicesCompile clear and concise written and verbal reports to senior management Maintain good working relationships with all the relevant parties; Cedants, Brokers, Co Reinsurers and Legal Representatives, in the handling and analysis of Cedants reinsurance claimexposures.Ensure all policy obligations are met and Customers are Treated FairlyComply with and ensure all compliance requirements, maintain confidentiality at all times, as well as serve as company representative to model, enforce and abide by all company policies.Deliver on objectives setContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as neededContribute to profitable growth by providing risk insight, information and trends/emerging risksAssist in the audits of Cedants and other parties as required, including due diligenceLiaise with actuarial, finance and operations, as requiredReport as necessary to the Head of Claims any important developments, issues and trends.
