Job PurposeWe are seeking an economist to provide macroeconomic analysis to the Head of Macroeconomic Research on Emerging markets, particularly focusing on China, with expectations that the individual will grow into a role to take full responsibility of forecastingthe outlook for China and provide advice to fund managers, clients and mediaTeam OverviewThis is an opportunity to join a broad and dynamic macroeconomic research team and to immediately contribute for an economist with experience covering the Chinese economy and wishing to grow their career at a large European asset manager. The role will bereporting directly to the Head of Macroeconomic research and working closely with the Chief Economist as part of a multi-jurisdictional economics team. The position will immediately include exposure to a range of investment and sales teams, including significantinteraction with senior staff in AXA IMs flat management structures. Focusing on China, the role will reflect the visibility of Chinas importance in the global economy and will help assess the longer-term impact of structural and geo-political developmentsof its impact on the global economy and financial markets.Key Accountabilities
