BS Social care is an agency who specialise in finding high quality candidates to fill permanent care roles across South London. At present we are working with an organisation that provide respite services for children with disabilities.Our client works with children who have complex needs around learning disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties. The organisation primarily delivers its services over weekends and during a school holidays and as such requires candidates who can offer flexibility and commitment during these times.The role we are recruiting for at the moment is specifically for support workers who have the skills and experience of dealing with challenging children who have complex behavioural and emotional difficulties. This role is extremely physically demanding and as such we are looking for candidates who are familiar with supporting active and energetic children within a residential setting.This role is a physically demanding position, requiring the successful candidate to have experience caring for children that are high energy, and can present challenging behaviour. The candidate will be experienced working within an Ofsted registered children`s home, and would be expected to have knowledge of Ofsted regulations. Due to the nature of the service being a respite setting, close contact with family, carers and other health care professionals is a fundamental element of the role.We are looking for candidates who have child protection, Safeguarding children and care certificate training.
