Job Description

Chief Data Architect-SC ClearedWe are currently partnering with a prominent Central Government Consulting firm in the search for a talented Chief Data Architect. In this strategic position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision for the organisations use of data, ensuring that data designs align seamlessly with enterprise needs.As a Chief Data Architect, you will provide leadership in guiding data integration, controlling data assets, and aligning data investments with business strategy. This role involves overseeing the design of multiple data models, championingdata architecture internally, and collaborating at the most senior levels across the government.Chief Data Architect Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and maintenance of enterprise data artifacts to expand the Data Architecture Framework.
  • Lead governance forums focused on data artifact assurance, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
  • Shape and drive the organisations data strategy, setting the vision for optimal data utilisation.
  • Lead a team of core and project data architects, ensuring sustained quality and adherence to standards.
  • Work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architecture to ensure project deliveries align with the enterprises needs.
  • Develop Data Standards, providing templates and guidance for effective data modeling.
  • Act as a representative for the organization at cross-government forums and sub-groups advocating for robust data practices.
Chief Data Architect Requirements:
  • You must already hold current SC Clearance
  • Data Modelling -Proficient in various notations (UML, Dimensional, NoSQL, Data Vault, ORM, Barker Notation).
  • Experience in data governance, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Ability to transform business problems into effective data designs, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of Sparx EA, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely for team onboarding and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in metadata, repositories and a deep understanding of various data types (meta data, reference data, transactional data, and master data)
  • CDMP accredited is a bonus.
