Advert For Band 7 Chief Cardiac PhysiologistBarts Health Trust is currently the largest NHS Trust in England and encompasses four hospitals based in the centre and East of London. The Trust is comprised of the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomews Hospital, The Royal London, Whipps Cross and Newham University Hospitals. We also help provide cardiac physiology services at University College London Hospital.There are a number of posts on offer. We are currently seeking several forward thinking, dynamic, and motivated individuals to work primarily at the BHC in the City. These posts may vary slightly depending on the skills of applicants and may involve some combination of EP, cardiac rhythm management (devices), echo, and intervention. Willingness to rotate through, or learn in, more than one area is essential. For those with intervention experience you will need skills in at least one of the other areas. You will be contributing significantly to the cardiac physiology service, with some possible cross-site cover at other hospitals required.The Barts Heart Centre is a 10-lab cardiology service with 5 of these operating in EP and devices, and 5 in intervention. We also run 6 device follow-up rooms and one of the largest remote monitoring services in the Europe. There are 10 echo rooms including two specialising in stress echo and TOE.Applicants should be competent in all non-invasive cardiac procedures.We have a supportive environment for training and development and attendance at National Conferences.
