Sister / Nurse Manager ChemotherapyBand 737.5 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen on tour newly refurbished chemotherapy treatment unit for an experience band 7 nurse to join the nursing team at the North Middlesex University Trust.The chemotherapy unit has now be upgraded to accommodate 21 chairs offering care and treatment for the Haemato-oncology and solid tumoursThe post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the chemotherapy department, and will be responsible for the following remit: budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training, patient experience and research and audit.Provide professional leadership and direction within the team as well as being accountable for maintaining high standards within the unit which includes updating and the development of protocols / guidelines and patient/Carer’s information to ensure the management and administration of chemotherapy remains within national and local guidelines.As one of Senior Nurse within the unit you will be expected to provide and environment in which the staff and patient are able to administer and receive safe administration of chemotherapy in keeping with local and national policy as well as acting as a positive role model at all times.We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated Nurses who possess excellent communication skills and enjoy a challenge. You will join a forward thinking multi-professional team dedicated to delivering a high standard of care in a challenging environment.
