Following a successful fundraise with institutional investors from the UK and US, we are seeking anambitious and driven Chemical Trader / Originator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and executing new business opportunities in the physical commodities space. You will play an instrumental role in driving our growthand success.Purpose of Role: To add a key commercial team member to drive transaction volumes, since we have now set up the operations, raised capital and completed initial transactions to enable the next trading volumes to be built.Who we are looking for: Traders, brokers, import-exporters etc. with 5+ years’ experience in front and back office, very commercially-driven and interested in building their own book and PnLKey attributes: Commercially-driven and motivated, entrepreneurial, hungry, proactive and genuinely excited about taking ownership of building out this business and doing whatever it takes.Industry Range: Petrochemical & energy products, fertilisers and other similar raw materials – preference for containerised cargoes and wider breadth/range of experience. No O&G-refined products (gasoline, fuel etc.), anything exchange-traded (transparentmarkets) or anything thatonlytrades at very large scale (vessels).Fundraising Plans: We have just completed raising and have over 3 years of runway so we are financially sound and secure. We aim to raise the next round to fund international expansion and establish overseas offices in 12-18 months’ time.Compensation & Upside: Salary anywhere up to £90k but heavily-weighted towards commission and bonuses (transparent PnL share) and income-tax-free equity options in the business (initial up to £100k).
