Job Description

Chair of the HR and Remuneration Committees Location: BalhamApplication Deadline: 06 November 2020 Salary: Pro Bono BOARD TRUSTEEWith Strategic HR expertise to Chair the Human Resources and Remuneration CommitteesCertitude is Londons largest not-for-profit provider of person-centered support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs. We have been successful in growing our organisation and have an income of c£50m per annum.We have an exciting opportunity for a Board Trustee with strategic HR experience who will chair the Human Resources and Remuneration Committees. The Chair of the Committees is supported by the other trustees to ensure the highest standards of governance in policies and practice across the HR agenda. The HR and Remuneration Committees ensure workforce risks are assessed and managed. The HR Director is accountable for the delivery of the workforce strategy which is monitored by the Committee.The successful candidate should have experience operating at board level in a medium or large organisation. In particular, you will have experience of technological change, Organisational Development and talent management with the ability to facilitate innovative solutions. You need to be risk aware but not risk averse. Experience in the social care sector or voluntary sector is not essential.Certitude has a diverse workforce and is committed to developing and maintaining a Board of Trustees that is representative and reflective of London communities. In the current climate, most meetings are held using MS Teams or in Balham, South London.
