Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well established organisation currently recruiting for various tradesment. This is a permanent position paying £28,000 per annum in addition to a performace related bonus which would total an annual salary ofup to £40,000.Van and tools will be provided by the company.Purpose of job:A Ceramic Tiler is responsible for delivering works and ensuring that these works are completed to a satisfactory quality in in line with timeframes set by the Contracts manager in line with BELFOR UK operational procedures and techniques for both Residentialand SME properties Key responsibilities:

  • Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
  • Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
  • Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
  • Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
  • Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
  • Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
  • Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
Deliver quality works in your field of expertise. Manage the resources efficiently and effectively in order to meet profit and productivity targets. Prepare all relevant paperwork, including, on- site documents, to the pre-agreed company standard Liaise with the Service Centre and customer to ensure that they are regularly informed of the status of all live ongoing projects Ensure that Quality, Management, and Health & Safety procedures are both understood and fully implemented. Advising insureds, where applicable, of the operation and safety of all plant and equipment including the provision of safety data sheets when necessary. Provide flexible resourcing to assist any other Multi Trade as and when required. Travel anywhere in the UK to deliver projects Attend tool box talks when requested. Attend training courses when provided by the company or any other external provider. Understand and implement the use of new procedures and materials. Manage projects on site efficiently and cost effectively. Ensure responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within BKH L006 Health Safety and Environment Policy are complied with Any other reasonable management request
