Job Description

We are currently looking for a Cell Culture Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company based in London. As the Cell Culture Scientist you will be responsible for maintenance and analysis of cell lines using cell based assays for drug discovery. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Cell Culture Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Culture and maintenance of cell lines such as breast cancer cells, prostate cancer cells and various other cancer cell lines. 2. As a Cell Culture Scientist, you will using and running cell based assays such as in vitro toxic assays, cell death assays and cell viability assays. 3. Running Flow Cytometry, specifically FACS on cell populations such as FlowJo or Cytoflex on multiple types of cell lines and antibodies. 4. Evaluating and collecting data for analysis using software such as GraphPad Prism. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Culture Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a life sciences focussed subject such as Biochemistry, Immunology, Cancer biology etc,,, 2. Proven industry experience in a biotechnology working with FACS and its analysis. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cell line culturing, cell based assays and flow cytometry.
