Job Description

CDD Manager is required for one of the top wealth managers in the UK based in London.This exceptional CDD Manager opportunity is perfect for someone who is a great communicator, enjoys working closely with the front office and has experience managing a small to medium-sized team.Responsibilities for the CDD Manager include:

  • Oversight of new accounts and ensure that the necessary CDD documentation and understanding are obtained using a risk-based approach.
  • Manage a small to medium-sized team based in London responsible for conducting CDD and onboarding new clients.
  • Oversight of high-risk clients to ensure the appropriate EDD measures have been taken.
  • Oversight of electronic verification searches and screening on all client types to identify possible PEPs and any other red flags as required. Ensuring rationale and appropriate risk mitigating measures are being adhered to and evidenced.
  • Work closely with the MLRO/ DMLRO/ Head of CDD for any non-compliance with the CDD requirements and agree on appropriate action.
  • Chair/ attend High-Risk Committee to present High-Risk clients for senior management approval.
  • Deputise for the Head of CDD in their absence.
  • To contribute to internal/ external audit and compliance monitoring reviews and work on enhancements following feedback/ findings.
  • To contribute to the CDD Onboarding process/ procedures and recommend improvements to ensure the team works efficiently.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects relating to CDD/EDD.
  • Apply regulatory changes to working practices when received from the 2nd line.
  • Ensure that new team members are trained to follow the CDD and AML procedures and maintain high standards.
  • Responsibility and oversight of team productivity by utilising MI reporting
  • To ensure business-wide CDD training is undertaken regularly throughout the year to ensure the front office meets expected AML standards.
  • To be a focal point of contact for CDD Onboarding matters.
  • To guide and train the CDD team to support risk-based decisions and the rationale for conclusions.
  • To provide and support with MI to the Head of CDD and other reporting to such committees and Management Groups related to CDD and Financial Crime.
  • To ensure the team is achieving good business and client outcomes and that the team’s approach is contributing to the firm’s strategic goals.
