Role: Category ManagerSalary: up to £62,000 per annum (possible uplift) + exceptional benefits Status: PermanentLocation: working from home / London This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a leading and prestigious organisation based in London. You will be responsible for driving forward buying and commercial solutions for procuring research and laboratory equipmentand working with allocated stakeholder/ teams to drive tangible value for money and optimised solutions.Key Responsibilities: Develop individual procurement plans which meet the needs of both the category and central commercial drivers (including sustainability). Negotiate Value for Money commercial arrangements for the category and managing large scale tenders. Advise on compliance matters such as when to compete and when to sole source, ensure the organisations interests are reflected in commercial deals, develop and maintain subject matter expertise related to the category and buying needs of faculties. Assess demand on existing contracts and develop transition plans for new suppliers. Develop appropriate Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process for the category that is tiered to identify specific types of suppliers needing slightly different SRM approaches. Continuously improving business processes. Making a significant and valued contribution to the Commercial Leadership Team, jointly shaping the Commercial strategic plan and driving its executionThe successful candidate:Ideally MCIPS or CIPS qualifiedMust have previous category/ procurement management experience in procuring Research/ Laboratory equipment Experience working within a Pharmaceuticals, Lab, NHS, Research or Institutions environment Procurement and category management experience within a large, complex organisations Experience managing various sized teams - 121sExcellent analytical expertise, identifying strategic options and providing recommendations Strong stakeholder management experience Exceptional financial acumen Exceptional interpersonal skills and IT systems knowledge and experience Submit your CV now to be considered for this fantastic opportunity to work with a leading organisation.
