A Global Insurance business is currently recruiting for a Catastrophe Analyst to join the business and develop/enhance the Natural Catastrophe capabilities for the groupJob Summary To develop and enhance Natural Catastrophe capabilities for the businessTo work with the Head of Property and Marine to develop improved reporting and management information on Natural Catastrophe exposures To provide regular reporting to Property, Engineering and Marine lines of business as requiredTo assist central team on Catastrophe management projects and where ad-hoc requests are givenContinue to improve Natural Catastrophe exposure and modelling data qualityEnsure RMS modelling results are consistent and data quality is to an acceptable industry standard Perform RMS modelling at both account and portfolio level Per Risk Modelling Model key complex CAT accounts to provide underwriters with high quality RMS output.Assist underwriters with the assessment of different layers and CAT coverage options for these accounts.Portfolio Level CAT AnalysisPerform portfolio modelling exercises and create accumulation analysis as agreed with both local underwriting and the central team.Be the UK lead for any central team CAT exposure management projects.Contribute and collaborate on UK projects which seek to improve UK Branchs exposure management process and CAT analytics capabilities.CAT Treaty Coordination and Wrap-up Assist the Reinsurance team if needed with final CAT treaty snapshot wrap-up work, such as resolving data errors that could prevent portfolio modelling.Model UKs CAT treaty data in RMS RiskLink. Work with the Group Catastrophe Modelling team, who will be technical referent for this processAssist the Risk Management team with the creation of any documentation necessary for the UKs CAT treaty submission.Act as technical referent to Reinsurance and Market Facing Operations for RMS, geocoding and exposure data. Key Attributes* Product & Business acumen in the CAT related aspects of UW* Ability to perform portfolio analysis* Teamworking with the UW & Ops professional community* Processing skills, i.e. ability to manage the pipeline of work efficiently and effectively* Data analytics skills* CAT platform specific skills * At least 2 years of experience in the CAT modelling* Expertise in dealing with the CAT modelling platforms* Teamworking and problem-solving skills* Planning & control skills on portfolio management Required skills
