Job Description Our Team Sitting within the International Private Bank (IPB), the Custody Oversight team is responsible for the oversight of all processes and controls designed to achieve compliance with the Firms safeguarding of clientasset requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and submit all custody regulatory returns (including the CMAR) Support and maintain the IPB Resolution Pack (RP) Review and escalate regulatory breaches relating to custody, work with relevant stakeholders toconduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventative actions Maintain the Client Assets Risk Mapping Framework Support internal and external audits covering IPBs safeguarding of client asset arrangements (including the annual CASS audit) Design,prepare, and deliver MI on the custody control framework to senior stakeholders Conduct due diligence reviews over third-party custodians and service providers Assist with the delivery of training on regulatory requirements related to custody Participate inthe review of New Business Initiatives to assess regulatory impact Requirements It is desirable, but not a requirement, for the candidate to have an understanding of the FCAs CASS regime, and/or experience working in a Risk & Control function. In addition,candidates should have the following attributes: Financial services experience Quality focused work ethic and strong controls mind-set Strong time management and organization skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint) Team playerwith strong communication skills Ability to quickly understand complex issues and react effectively Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to work with and manage stakeholders Analytical approach Ability to prioritise effectively Highlymotivated self-starter with a proactive approach Knowledge of MiFID II requirements relating to the safeguarding of financial instruments and funds (desirable) Experience with the FRCs Client Asset Assurance Standard (highly desirable) Beyond the above, weare most interested in what makes you, you: the personal qualities, outside interests, and achievements beyond academia/work that demonstrate the kind of person you are, and what you would bring to the team IPB2021 About Us J.P.
