Job Description

The VacancyWinterflood Business Services (WBS) is seeking a skilled and experienced individual, to process all daily incoming & outgoing payments ensuring cash is correctly reflecting in client accounts in line with CASS policies, with firm cash balances correctly positionedfor business requirements. To ensure that all client money is in the correct accounts to facilitate settlement and ensure client money is diversified. Key Responsibilities

  • Process all external and internal payments out using the online banking systems.
  • Process incoming payments and resolving any exceptions including communicating with clients.
  • Process all regular contributions and direct debits.
  • Reviewing and keying in payments to clients and market counterparties.
  • Building the relationship with our banking and direct debit service providers.
  • Manage client enquiries relating to the receipt or payment of cash.
  • Ensure all FX currency payments are processed daily.
  • Ensure bank accounts are prudently funded daily.
  • Process all regular contributions and direct debits.
  • Manage Client Money Diversification
  • Ensure there is sufficient cash available in each account to facilitate daily trading activities.
  • Assist the Client Service team in answering any client queries to ensure that we respond within agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure all breaks assigned to the team are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • To maintain and store accurate direct debit mandates and mandate register in line with CASS 8.
  • Assist in the continuous development of both systems and process, liaising with internal and external counterparts where necessary.
  • Assist in the production of management information KRIs and KPIs in relation to cash management.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of cash management for retail clients
  • Understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, ETFs and mutual funds and how the associated cash is managed.
  • Experience of payment processing via online banking systems advantageous.
  • Understanding of CASS rules.
  • Ability to focus and commit to delivering against deadlines.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and deal with multiple issues via different forums.
  • Effective and proficient communication and written skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, be responsive, deal with ambiguity, and respond to changing environments.
