Job Description

Career Grade Planning Policy OfficerRedbridgeFull-time contract6-Month contract£30/HourResponsibilities:

  • Maintain database of subscribers and interested parties to the Local Plan and ensure they are engaged and involved in the production of planning and policy documents.
  • Good understanding of spatial, visual and aestheticconcepts and to conduct primary reasearch, analyse, intepret and summarise large amounts of information, the complexity of which will rise with progression through the career grade from simple to much morecomple projects.
  • Respond to memeber enquiries as directed.
  • Appreciation of majuor issues and experience of minor issues related to spatial planning or planning policy in a large complex organisation.
  • Routine contacts with applicants agents and memebers of the public in relation to your workload.
  • Undertake specific data gathering exercises.
  • Preparing, formulating and drafting policies for inclusion.
  • Ensuring s106 and CIL monies are collected and monitored in a clear and transparent way.
Qualifications:
  • RTPI accredited postgraduate degree
  • At least 1 years experience of working in a local planning authoirty or private sector
