Job Description

Join us as a Capital Markets Business Manager, Climate & ESG

  • Support our Head of Climate & ESG (C&ESG) Capital Markets, in administering our business, delivering an efficient, effective and well-controlled operation
  • Youll be supporting all aspects of stewardship, strategy and governance of our end-to-end business
  • Youll have a key role to play in our ongoing ambition to support our customers transition to a low-carbon economy
What youll doAs our Capital Markets Business Manager, youll be maintaining and implementing our strategic plans across multiple dimensions, including customer offering, revenue, costs, balance sheet and capital, making sure theyre consistent with our wider Capital Markets& C&I strategy. Youll be providing business management and operational support to defined areas of our Capital Markets business, developing a strong understanding of sustainability trends to support the creation, maintenance and governance of a clear and effective businessmodel. Your top priorities will include:
  • Supporting the development of detailed client plans and resource allocation with appropriate KPIs with which to measure success
  • Driving continuous technology improvement, defining business requirements, and providing project management services as required
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of financial information through which we can track and manage performance
  • Driving disciplined cost management and governance
  • Promoting client focus through strategy and communications, and making sure business performance is in line with the desire to improve customer service, advocacy and trust
  • Working in partnership with first and second line control teams to implement policy, process and controls, making sure the risk and control framework of Capital Markets C&ESG is robust and consistent
The skills youll needWell look to you to have experience of front office business management and a good understanding of risk and control environments, ideally within a front office context. Youll also need:
  • Experience of managing and developing high-performing individuals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of presenting to senior stakeholders
  • A strong track record of collaborative working practice, specifically across teams
  • The ability to maintain attention to detail whilst working to tight timeframes and with conflicting priorities
