  • Work with Group Compliance and Compliance functions to develop robust working practices (and shared activities) to identify and mitigate regulatory risks
  • Head up and manage KYC & Transaction monitoring procedures
  • Responsible for devising and implementing branch risk-based AML strategies
  • Ensure all internal SARs reports are investigated and passed on to relevant authorities if needed
    • Compliance function:
  • Ensure team and all staff comply with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
  • To develop, assess, initiate, maintain and revise policies, guidelines and procedures to be in compliance with relevant Banking Regulations.
  • To keep other departments abreast of relevant Banking Regulations.
  • Provide training to all staff on the latest regulations and processes.
  • Provide guidance/training on regulatory AML/CTF risk assessments on customers to the relevant staff.
  • Responsible for reports (Monthly AML Dashboard Reporting, Monthly Legal and Compliance Report, Anti-Money Laundering Quarterly Transactions Report)
    • The Skills Youll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree or a related field
  • Compliance/AML qualification, or relevant professional body accreditation
  • Money Laundering Reporting and Compliance experience related experience in banking
  • Ideally already an approved SMF17, or a candidate with a proven career likely to be approved by the Regulator
  • Knowledge of FCA, AML laws and regulation/ FATF Recommendations of Central Bank of UK
  • Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (native speaker level in Cantonese)
  • Fluent in risk management and our industry’s principle
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
