Our National Trust Low Wray Campsite is a seasonal rural campsite sat on the edge of Lake Windermere. The site has a mixture of lakeside, woodland, and open countryside pitches with an abundance of wildlife and fantastic scenery and a mix of tents and glamping options. We offer take-away food, freshly cooked pastries & bacon baguettes for breakfast & Barista style coffee and in the evening fresh Pizzas cooked in our new wood fired pizza oven, in our specially designed mobile trailer at the heart of our campsite. We are a friendly team, and everyone has a can-do positive vibe approach.The Hours: We are looking for you to prep and cook the pizzas so shifts would start 2/3pm to prep the pizzas to serve between 5-9pm. There is scope/plan to develop the menu offer with jacket potatoes and one pot dishes or other ideas.The role will require working evenings/weekends.This position is based on full time hours 37.5 hrs from now until the End of October, there is potential for the role to become permanent working from March to End of October for the right candidateThe Salary: £10 per hourDuration: Fixed term contract with the view of it going permanent. This campsite at Low Wray is a beautiful setting to work within. Working here you will truly feel that you are part of an inspired team who work together to ensure that our special places last forever.Youll love leading a small team, and with your passion for food and ability to identify new income opportunities, youll assist the Holidays/Campsite Manager to deliver an excellent experience for all our visitors at our special place. Through effective supervision and leadership, you will motivate the team of staff and volunteers to work towards a culture of exceptional service and make it a great place to work.Ensuring the team are competently trained and compliant with relevant legislation, youll also make sure every food and drink order is beautifully presented and served with a smile. Youll work with your team to ensure the campsite is well presented and tables are cleared efficiently.Youll be proud to share our valuable work with our customers and look to contribute new ideas so that we can maximise profit which can be reinvested back into our conservation work.With the support from your team you will take the lead on food preparation, cooking, serving customers, cash handling, keeping stock maintained, cleaning of the catering unit whilst remaining compliant and maintaining excellent presentation.You will also ensure excellent levels of hygiene and cleanliness is achieved. Preparation and cooking of all menu items and excellent customer service is also a given.
