Job Description

TEMPORARY CONTRACT £28 PER HOUR PLUSHOME BASEDThis role will be part of the Capita Environment Engineering team and will involve the following:WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Capita are looking for a CAD Technician to join us working on two projects centrered around flood defences.working on outline and detailed design civil engineering drawings
  • using AutoCAD 19 and Civils3D to develop drawings in liaison with the project engineers
  • The main design teams are based in Manchester, Sheffield and East Grinstead. However in the present environment all work will be from home for the forseeable future. Good home IT connection is therefore essential.
    • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • The candidate will be required to liaise remotely with home based engineers to communicate drawing changes so should have excellent communication skills.
  • The candidate should either have a relevant qualification which is CAD related or should be able to demonstrate significant experience working within the industry.
  • The candidate should be able to understand the engineering principles that form the basis of drawings they are producing and show a willingness to develop their engineering knowledge through the work that they do.
  • The candidate should have an understanding of the principles of BIM in relation to drawing production
