My tier 1 investment banking client is looking for an expert C# Developer to work in the Commodities Index Technology team, someone experienced and focused on C# development in a Windows environment. This is a small highly agile team, who work closely with the Structuring and Trading teams and are looking to ramp up as they re-engineer the Commodity Index platform.Location - Remote/ LondonDuration - 12 MonthsRate - £583 INSIDE IR35Responsibilities*Be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, gathering requirements, designing, implementing, testing and assisting with SL3*Provide advice and assistance to any junior members of the team if required*Work closely with the immediate and wider team and users*Proactively provide ideas and solutions to problems and drive delivery to completionRequirementsExperience / Background*Experience of working in a Senior Development role at the enterprise-level with a proven track record of successful project delivery*Strong experience of C#, ideally with desktop as well as web-services and dotnet core, and distributed micro-services-based architectures. A good understanding of async programming. *Good understanding of OO concepts and SOLID design principles*Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases preferred. SQL experience useful.*Experience in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Automated Deployment environment with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy, Kubernetes, Docker etc.*Any GUI experience an advantage (WPF but also technologies such as React)*Experience of building automated regression testing as well as unit testing and TDD*An ideal candidate would have some knowledge of expression trees and parsers, but this is not essential*Proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g. python)*Experience of working in distributed global teams *Knowledge of Commodities and ideally Commodity Indices an obvious advantageSpring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
