  • Contributes to functional strategy development and prioritises the operational deliverables and activities to support delivery of business targets.
  • Achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy.
Policy, Process and Procedure -
  • Support management with the performance of IT services, both internally and through 3rd party suppliers, to support the ambitions and service expectations of the business.
  • Support the maintenance of the governance framework to ensure best practice and compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Create the offer construct and influence alignment to define standards, complete build tasks and activities.
  • Socialize the requirements cross-functionally and ensure they are understood clearly.
  • Proactively manage any issues, risks, roadblocks to deliver the offer per the committed timeline.
  • Support with the design, development, implementation and coordination of IT systems and associated policies and procedures to facilitate effective business support.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems to ensure regulatory and legal compliance as well as business continuity.
  • Identify and/or support with continuous improvement and step-change opportunities, to increase cost effectiveness and/or infrastructure flexibility.
Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus -
  • Contributes to the delivery of a cost-effective IT service, which contributes to Aspens overall profitability and business performance.
  • Works with key stakeholders/business managers to support with the development of sustainable IT systems and services and monitoring of progress to achieve business strategy/plans.
  • Maintains regular contact with cross functional IT teams to ensure clarity and business needs.
  • Combine business insights with emerging and/or existing technologies while identifying and prioritizing value-creation opportunities to deliver service-value to end users and customers.
  • Champion a service- orientated culture within the IT team and take ownership of all customer interactions.
  • Provide and participate in feedback and cross training to/from other members.
Technical Performance -
  • Contributes to the delivery of a cost-effective IT service, which contributes to Aspens overall profitability and business performance.
  • Fully embedded within the total project lifecycle liaising directly with product ownership, developers, operational teams, quality assurance, and management to deliver core analysis and support.
  • Create and capture requirements, tracking changes, identifying risks and issues for escalation, and monitoring and reporting on work and progress.
  • Works with key stakeholders/business managers to support with the development of sustainable IT systems and services and monitoring of progress to achieve business strategy/plans.
  • Supports management in developing and implementing systems, reengineering business practices and new initiatives.
  • Maintains project plans and facilitates meetings.
  • Support business case modelling and analytics.
  • Provide and participate in feedback and cross training to/from other members.
Skills & Experience:
  • Specific professional qualifications at the level of degree or equivalent (e.g. computer science, management of information systems or similar).
  • Qualified within own personal discipline, with extensive post-qualification work experience (4-6 years as a Business Analyst in a global IT organisation) to include:
  • Evidence of understanding and supporting operational systems and process flows.
  • Working as part of a senior team within a complex organisation (preferably within financial services or Reinsurance industry)
  • Strong level of numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.
  • Able to plan effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong customer orientation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers at all levels and explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences, inclusive of understanding/empathizing with customers while remaining committed to providing quality results withpositive service.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and use for decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in relevant software, including MS Office applications e.g. Excel as well as other departmental software packages.
