Business Tax Advisory Manager London As a Barclays Business Tax Advisory Manager, you will be joining high performing tax or finance professionals working to assist the Head of the team on the delivery of their accountabilities. You will Partner with business stakeholders to manage the tax risksarising from their business activities, providing robust tax support in a commercial manner. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to advising the businesses and working with teams supporting Barclays operational tax and customer information reportingobligations. What will you be doing • Developing a good knowledge of the relevant businesses, operating model and legal entity structures, and associated tax considerations and issues that impact Barclays • Identifying the tax implications of internal and external transactions originated by the relevant businesses/functions • Ensuring tax considerations are communicated appropriately and reported accurately • Preparing working papers to support any filings to tax authorities and presentations /reports /MI for analysis by senior management • Developing and leading a robust tax risk control environment and ensuring compliance with the Barclays Tax Principles and the Code of Practice on Taxation • Keeping up to date and communicating legislative changes and their impact on the businesses What were looking for: • Undergraduate degree • Qualified ACA (or local country equivalent) • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent IT skills Skills that will help you in the role: • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) coupled with the ability to articulate issues to different audiences (i.e. both tax and non-tax specialists) • Exceptional stakeholder management and a proactive approach, with ability to take responsibility for assigned work, managing the process and stakeholders through to completion • Ability to work closely with others and build relationships with a range of stakeholders • A desire to leave things better than they were by identifying ways to bring about efficiencies and process improvements Where will you be working In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
