Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Risk & Controls Intern, youll be joining the broader Global Operations & Investors Services (GOIS) team who focus on supporting our clients and the front-end business areas to ensure that the business is administered in a robust, controlled,timely, and efficient manner. As such, the department interacts with most other departments across the business to deliver excellent client experience. You will have the chance to work with a broad range of stakeholders, giving you experience in reviewing business processes and understanding how to assess risks and controls within the processes. Throughout the 8-weeks, you can expect to:

  • Support the GOIS Risk & Control Self-assessment.
  • Work with different stakeholders to understand processes
  • Support the GOIS Business Risk & Controls team with Risk event reviews.
Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s). All Interns will be included in:
  • Meaningful projects and tasks giving you the chance to add value from day one.
  • Organisation-wide insight sessions to provide you with a holistic view of the industry.
  • A range of training & development sessions, giving you the tools to kickstart your career.
  • Attending internal and external meetings and social events, providing you the chance to network.
Requirements
  • Be an undergraduate student in your penultimate or final year.
  • Be an enthusiastic self-starter with an interest in Financial Markets, who displays curiosity and is eager to learn more about our industry and our business.
  • Be able to demonstrate that you are a strong communicator who can share ideas with colleagues.
  • Be results orientated with the ability to overcome setbacks and remain focused on achieving the end goal.
  • You should enjoy problem solving and be able to gather, monitor and analyse data.
  • Be available to join on 24th June 2024 for an 8-week period.
  • Have right to work in the UK - we are unable to provide sponsorship for our internship programmes.
