Job Description

Our client, a government organisation is currently recruiting for a Business Planning and Performance Manager, salary £56,180, start ASAP, this is a FTC for 6 months, hours Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week, this is a hybrid working role and you will be requiredin the office 2 days a week, The location of the office is Westminster. You will be required to go through a stringent security clearance before starting which can take 4-6 weeks ahead of starting.The postholder will lead on business planning and organisational performance monitoring in our client. You will work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the smooth and effective development of business plans and performance measures at corporate andteam level. The postholder will finalise and ensure the timely publication of the corporate business plan 2024/25, draft a key section of the annual report, support the Executive Board to deliver its strategic priorities, and assess the organisational performanceat team and corporate level.Duties;

  • Draft the performance report section of the Annual Report 2023/24.
  • Work with teams to develop metrics to measure strategic outcomes and corporate business performance, supporting initiatives to improve data collection and monitoring in these areas.
  • Gather timely information on progress towards delivery of the corporate business plan, contributing to work by the Finance, Portfolio and Performance Team to develop combined corporate performance reports and prepare the annual report for publication.
  • Drive the development and implementation of planning and performance frameworks to realise the golden thread between the strategy, corporate business plan and team business plans.
  • Build networks of business planning and performance monitoring colleagues, use existing external networks to improve ways of working in relevant functions across the Administration.
  • Work with teams to develop metrics to measure strategic outcomes and corporate business performance, supporting initiatives to improve data collection and monitoring in these areas
Essential;
  • Experience of developing, reporting on, and/or analysing performance metrics;
  • Understanding of how strategic planning processes can be used to drive operational performance and change projects.
