Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity within Macquaries Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) Operational Risk Management Team in London, supporting its growing business in EMEA. This desk works directly with the business to ensure the key operational risks arebeing effectively managed and monitored and to facilitate the continued improvement in processes, controls and operational risk awareness and culture across our businesses. Youll be part of a supportive team where everyone- no matter what role - contributes ideas and drive outcomes. What role will you playAs a subject matter expert, you will be required to partner with the trading desks and leverage your expertise to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the front to back processes and proactively managing the operational risks. You would also be involved inproviding advice on a broad range of risk matters, assessing new product and business initiatives, investigating incidents and testing effectiveness of controls. What you offer

  • 5+ years work experience in a position related to logistics processes for physical commodities (oil, metals, agriculture)
  • Experience in commodity trading or support roles, or in audit/assurance for trading businesses
  • Knowledge in gas, power or environmental products would also be beneficial
  • High achievement drive, with strong resilience and tenacity
  • An innovative mindset, strong relationship building, collaboration skills and commitment to integrity.
