Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM) is seeking to hire a dynamic, self-motivated Business Manager to support the Asset Servicing Client Coverage team. The Business Manager, as part of the Asset Servicing Finance & Business Management organization, provides support to the business and is critical for driving analysis,process improvement, financial analysis and controls, as well as delivering on strategic initiatives. Core Responsibilities:Act as a thought partner and advisor to the leads and business managers of the Asset Servicing client segmentsHelp coordinateand execute on the strategic and financial objectivesAssist in driving opportunities to grow the business and client revenues, including support of new products and platforms through the full end-to-end implementation processAssist in the preparationand communication of business strategy, performance and priorities to a broad audience, including senior managementFacilitate decision making and business progressionProactively focus on problem identification and problem solvingDrive competitivebenchmarking and market analysisAssist in planning revenues, headcount, expenses and investment/productivity initiativesOversight to ensure that the business is run in an efficient and controlled manner, including tracking against budgets/plans and keyfinancial ratios and effective management of direct and indirect costsCollaborate and partner with the Finance team to develop financial reporting and key MIS for the business, including commentary on the drivers of key financialsDrive partnership betweenbusiness and functional teams (e.g. technology, operations, HR, marketing, etc.) to achieve business objectivesPartner with others in Finance & Business Management (CFOs, Business Managers, P&A leads) across regions and businesses to share best practiceand drive consistency across the bank Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related areaExceptional verbal and written communication skillsGood judgement to enable interaction/influencing of senior managementThoughtful analyticalskills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusionsSelf-starter; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlinesDisciplined approach to managing processes and controlsEnergetic, self-motivated and effective under pressureStrong analyticaland data manipulation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPointStrong project management and presentation skillsProduct acumen or experience in the Asset Servicing industry is preferred7+ years of experience in financial services,business management or related function BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
