In this role you will need to be able to provide leadership along with professional support and advice. This role reports directly to the Principal.The Business Manager is the academys leading support staff professional and works as part of the Senior Team to assist the Principal to ensure that we meet our educational aims. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with teaching staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school.The Business Manager promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the schools learning objectives. Therefore, you will be responsible for the Financial Resource Management, Administration Management, Management Information, IT Strategy, Human Resource Management, Facility & Property Management, Catering and Health & Safety Management of the academy.The successful candidate will have integrity and initiative, and will be highly capable, proactive, organised and enthusiastic. They must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to show their own initiative. In 2019, Walthamstow Academy students achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.4). At A-Level, our students achieve excellently with many of them progressing to Russell Group institutions. Standards across the Academy are above national averages in most subjects.The Academy is located close to the North Circular Road, M11 and both Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Central underground stations from where it takes about half an hour to get into central London.
