We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Business Manager.Role Purpose / Day to Day:This role supports the Global WPB Finance Head of S&E across all day to day operational matters including: ·Management and oversight of costs; BDU tracking & reporting; headcount monitoring & approval ·Maintaining and coordinating BCP/MIG/call cascade etc ·Scorecards/objectives coordination and tracking ·Management of third party engagements Assisting with driving and implementing the people strategy including future of work. Tracking team objectives, snapshot insights, advancing D&I initiativesThe Business Manager role sits within the Global Finance Chief Operating Office (COO). The COO team are responsible for driving our people strategy, enabling Finance to be the best function it can be. The team support our transformation agenda – connectingour people, technology and ways of working to enable Global Finance to serve their customers more efficiently and effectively. They support teams in the effective management of their non-financial risks and improving our operational resilience. The purpose of the Business Manager role is to support the Finance Head of S&E in managing the operational activities of Global WPB Finance to a high quality and at an optimal cost. The role provides support for the operation of the function, and will be responsiblefor the production, review and analysis of cost and FTE information to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and drive productivity across Finance.Business Performance and Financials: The role holder will support in managing relationships with Global/Group teams and other stakeholders to provide insight and a view of cost efficiency plans by delivering essential management information on the function’s cost performance as well as projectionsfor the monthly forecast and annual planning cycles. This includes support in aligning FTE plans to the future organizational shape and impact of the strategic change agenda. Team and People: ·Support the Global WPB Finance Head of S&E in providing management information and data analysis on the function’s cost base, including key statistical data metrics on headcount movements, open positions, diversity, span of control and snapshot surveyactions amongst others. ·Support in the organization of team communication and team events such as townhalls to help drive team engagement. ·Build relationships with key stakeholders within and outside Finance to help influence outcomes. ·Collaborate across and outside the Finance function to ensure an effective operating model is fostered. ·Take ownership and delivers outcomes in a manner that considers impact to key stakeholders.Skills & Experience:An excellent level of financial management and business analysis experience requiring strong technical and commercial understanding of what drives the numbers reported ·Proven relationship management and team engagement skills, with the ability to dealwith all senior/junior levels within a global organisation ·Exceptional drive and commitment which includes the ability to work and thrive in a fast changing, results driven environment and handle competing priorities ·Sound judgment and problem solving abilities ·Cost management experience ·Ability to highlight problems, but more importantly, offer innovative and practical solutions and drive through their execution in a collective environment and in a timely manner ·A leading performer who inspires others ·A self starter who is not afraid to speak up and face a challenge; also open to listen to guidance and learn as they go ·Good understanding of the Group’s strategy and is commercially minded and customer focused ·Strong influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities ·Excellent communication (written & verbal), planning and organisation skills ·An inquisitive mind who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, continuously looking at ways to improve processes and reduce duplications ·Qualified Accountant is desirable (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) ·Experience of running an annual planning process would be an advantage ·Experience in cost management and analytics would be an advantage Excellent systems skills (including use of TM1, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) ·Prior experience of working with offshore/satellite teams is desirable
