Job Description

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for a 6-12 month contract working with a tech-focussed law firm This role can be based in our London or any of the following offices; Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow or Edinburgh. About the Role This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team supporting a market-leading practice. Our UK corporate practice, with about 80 partners and 250 lawyers, is one of the most sought after for advising on transactions in the UK and across Europe and regularlytops the M&A and equity capital markets league tables. Its funds & indirect real assets team is considered market leading by all major directories. Under energetic and ambitious leadership the corporate team is looking to further boost its market profile, leverage firm-wide client relationships and land roles on headline transactions. You would be part of a team of five business development professionalssupporting the corporate partners on making these ambitions come to life. Do you have a can-do and solution-oriented attitude Can you make others responsive to new ideas and engaged in new initiatives Do you like thinkingof new ways to win business Then you may be the candidate that we are looking for!Key responsibilities will include: Campaigns: lead on the development and execution of marketing campaigns Events: lead and organise seminars, webinars and client social events Client targeting: support activities aimed at targeting potential clients and further developing existing clients Pitching: provide strategic advice and execute proposals BD infrastructure: to maintain and work with BD infrastructure, including standard pitch content, credentials database and client relationship management software Directory and award submissions: support on directory and awards submissions  Management: supervising and mentoring junior colleagues on the team The role is also the lead BD support for the firms Hotel & Leisure sector group, including business planning, driving strategy, creating thought leadership materials, event management and managing key sector client relationships About You The successful candidate will have significant Marketing & BD experience within a professional services environment. Experience will include pitching, practice group and sector marketing, client targeting, campaign planning and execution, and budget management.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with partners and staff at all levels within the firm and with external vendors.
