We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our clients Corporate sales team in their London Headquarters. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to further a career in a commercial, sales-driven role.Our client is a world leader in strategic and tactical business research and analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial awareness as well as a keen interest in, and knowledge of,consultative sales.Brief overview of the roleThis Business Development role is part of the Corporate sales team based in the London head office that is tasked with selling across all countries within the Western Europe region.You will be responsible for targeting new organisations across your territory. You will be a highly self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the business-to-business arena. Youll have the tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to find the right contacts, understand the clients issues, and match and apply the benefits in your solution.You will often need to involve several stakeholders, both internally and externally, in different locations across the world so strong networking and organization skills as well as an understanding of corporate purchasing dynamics are a must. This role isclient facing and will require some European wide travel to meet clients across the territory. Additional European languages would be an advantage although not essential.Key responsibilities
  • Generate sales with new clients in your designated territory Identify key sponsors, influencers and decision makers at target companies and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits and applications ofusing data.
  • Create a sales plan on how to reach sales targets and ensure implementation of the planResearch a strong prospect list
  • Take ownership of your personal sales targetsDevelop your new clients so they know how to use their online service
  • Manage ongoing client relationships with accounts through the entire tender process and procurement
Skills / Proficiencies required
  • An outstanding personal sales track record
  • Proven experience of selling to large multi-national organisations
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Intelligent, able to solve problems, and react positively to change
  • Tenacity, drive and resilience
  • Commercial awareness
  • A targets-driven approach to work
  • Experience in strategic market information sales
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Fluency in English to a business level with additional European Languages being an advantage
