Business Development/Campaign ManagerA client of RULE is seeking talented individuals with a passion for all things commercial. This role is similar to that of a campaign project manager - a sales role with the target of financing a commercial newspaper production through advertising revenueand then hand picking the team to create it! For this reason, the role is extremely autonomous and requires a high level of maturity and work ethic alongside a good sales acumen and creative nature!The company is an award-winning publishing house in central London that produce papers/reports and supplements which are exclusively published into one of Londons most read broadsheets with a target audience of c-suite individuals. The company was founded on the idea that the intelligent mass still values focused, high quality commercial content which is produced professionally and presented to an extremely high standard.The Role:As a Business Development/Campaign Manager you will have full project manager style control of five commercial publishing prints per year with responsibility for the entire lifecycle - from idea to finished product.Responsibilities include:Managing research - Investigating information gaps to find interesting report topics.Acquiring revenue - Building your own pipeline and pitching high-level directors across all sectors.Gaining Advertising - Pitching relevant companies to fill advertising space in the print.Sourcing Writers - Finding journalists and relevant writers to produce the content.Design Production - Final sign off on page designs for your print from graphic design team.Editorial Commissioning - You have the final say on these projects acting as the papers editor.This role is extremely diverse and emphasis is placed mainly on acquiring revenue which means a heavy business development/sales swing on the daily activities alongside the creative elements.Whats on offer£35K basic salary - increased to £40K upon first promotion (on average after one year).Realistic OTE of £52K first year - top performers have earnt more (Record is around £80K)£1,000 raise in basic salary for every print which exceeds revenue targets.17.5% commission first year, 20% once promoted (Generally after 12-14 months).30% commission on high grossing prints (over £65K - average is £66.3K).Previous B2B sales experience is necessary.You must be a self-starter for this role as, after an initial training/shadowing period, you will be expected to work off your own back and be highly motivated.Other requirements:
