Job Description

Assistant Manager - Business ControlsJoin our team at a leading Governance Services organisation dedicated to providing robust support for our teams. As a Compliance and Governance Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Head of the Compliance Team on the creation and maintenanceof a comprehensive global framework of policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review policies and procedures for our organisation across various operating jurisdictions, ensuring clarity, effectiveness, and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory mapping in response to changes, working in tandem with the In-House Counsel to fortify our commitment to a culture of compliance and identify areas for policy enhancement.
  • Manage templates, checklists, and operational processes, ensuring they are current, consistent, and user-friendly. Assist with updates, approvals, and document uploads to our internal Share-Point site
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly with Business Services units like Risk and Compliance and HR, to foster a cohesive approach to legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Program the OrganizationGPS SharePoint site, utilising automation tools to elevate client service delivery, including coding documents with document automation software.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by your manager, the Head of the Compliance Team, or the Global Operations Director.
About You - Essential Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a regulated business setting.
  • Hold a suitable qualification in accounting, governance, or law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a sincere desire to support and assist others.
  • Keen attention to detail and adeptness in legal and regulatory analysis.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a team and independently, demonstrating proactive management of your workload.
  • Interest in technology and a proactive approach to adopting new systems.
  • Problem-solving orientation, with an ability to collaborate across jurisdictions, implement process improvements, and gain a deep understanding of organisational operations.
