About the Role The Business Associate (BA) Program is an exciting pathway into our firm for graduates who are interested in the variety of career opportunities available in the investment management industry. This three-year, London based program will help you gain insightinto our industry, firm and culture. You will learn about the Client Groups business development and relationship management activities and also gain experience of many other business divisions that support our investment functions. The program is split into rotations across the Client Groups regional teams where you will be developing your business and technical skillset all while assimilating into the firm, your job and our culture. During the course of the program, you will be discoveringyour long-term fit here at the firm and have opportunity to learn about other areas of the firm that could be complementary to your skills, interests, and business needs. Business Associates (Bas) have successfully transitioned into roles on their currentBA teams or into other teams in the firm. You will join as part of the Investment20/20 trainee programme and you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events over your first year. THE TEAMThe Client Group is responsible for strengthening and growing our prospect, client, and consultant relationships around the world. Wellington Management serves an extremely diverse mix of institutional investors located in over 50 countries. Our clients includepublic funds, central banks, insurance entities, endowments, foundations, mutual fund sponsors, retirement plan sponsors - both defined benefit and defined contribution - and many other types of institutions. We view business development and relationship managementas a point of differentiation among our peers. Our experienced professionals are typically specialized by client type and geography. They nurture relationships with clients and prospects and consider the unique local, cultural, social and economic environmentsof each so they can understand how to best serves their needs. As a Business Associate, you will collaborate with colleagues across the Client Group to help support business management and the business development and relationship management efforts of the firm. This position will provide broad exposure to Wellington Management,as it will require interaction and collaboration with individuals across our Client Service Management group, Marketing, Product Management (IPFS - Investment Products & Strategies), Legal, and Compliance teams, amongst others. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Produce key monthly management reporting in addition to ad-hoc data requests
  • Support the business management team on various initiatives and project work (i.e., analyse industry or channel trends, develop firm analysis, assist with analytics and internal data requests), as deemed appropriate
  • Oversee business management processes (i.e., marketing material qualification)
  • As required, support business development and relationship management activities:
    • Prepare presentation materials, briefing materials and other collateral materials for prospect calls and meetings as well as new business opportunities with existing clients
    • Prepare presentation materials for internal stakeholders
  • Capturing and maintaining client data in relevant internal systems and coordinate updates across the team
  • Qualify clients for the fulfillment of marketing materials
  • Organise prospect and client meeting follow-up items and respond to ad hoc requests, as needed
  • Qualify Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and work with internal constituents to ensure that each RFP receives the appropriate response

  • Be familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
