Business Analyst with Technical Project Management Experience

London or Remote-Based.A growing full service Digital Agency & Software Development Company is looking for a strong Business Analyst with Technical Project Management experience in software development to join them on a full-time basis as a permanent employee or a long-term freelancer.The role is an unusual mix of team leading, technical input, requirements capture, software project delivery and client management. The position is fantastically varied, extremely satisfying and the right candidate will have the ability to grow with theircompany.You will be managing the day-to-day activities of your small team (c7) of experienced Technical Architects, Software Developers and QAs; you will be capturing requirements from clients, translating them into Jira epics and be responsible for the deliveryof multiple client-led projects in parallel. You have to be self-motivated and passionate about delivering high quality software, have a can do attitude, be personable with both staff and clients and treat everyone with clarity and respect. You will haveto hit the ground running, be flexible and a team player to fit in our busy but relaxed working environment.Although the position is remote-based, you will ideally (but not essential) have access to London for periodic team and client meetings.About the Company:The company is a full service Digital Agency & Software Development Company based in London & Barcelona. They develop high-end web-based bespoke software & applications, mobile apps and websites across all sectors, including Property, Government, Finance,Health, Education and Charity.Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for clients new projects, ongoing changes to existing projects and be involved with major support issues
• Capture clients project requirements and changes, translate them into Jira epics and manage the entire software delivery process
• Participate in and sometimes lead project and sprint definition workshops, documenting outputs, agreeing scope directly with clients and creating developer actions via Jira
• Project planning, allocation of work and leading your team through day-to-day development and testing activities
• Be able to lead QA / testing activities, often hands-on, liaising with clients as to their agreed project scope

Required Experience:

• Have hands on Business Analysis / requirements capture experience.
• Have experience with Jira, ActiveCollab, Slack or other collaboration tools
• Have strong analytical reasoning skills, common sense, and be a creative problem-solver who takes ownership of issues to the point of resolution
• Have full project lifecycle experience (inc. project planning, scoping, day-to-day project management, creating and maintaining project plans, resource management, risk/issue management, change control) from requirements capture to handover
• Have strong stakeholder management experience, ideally working within an agency, with the ability to learn and understand our clients business, workflows and processes
• Have an understanding of key web development principles and languages with a solid understanding & experience of software development using Agile methods
• Be fluent in English with excellent unambiguous verbal and written communication with the ability to present and facilitate meetings with confidence
• Have a technical background (preferably software development background) who is currently a Technical Project Manager or Technical Team Leader.
