Job Description

A highly successful organisation with a true global footprint who are market leaders in the ever-growing FinTech (Financial Technology) industry are seeking an exceptional Business Analyst to support business expansion.The Business Analyst will gather, analyse and specify business requirements in order to provide solutions & deliver client specific functionality for the organisation’s clients.General Responsibilities:-

  • Gather & analyse client business requirements, including discussion with the client.
  • Ensure designs adhere to product strategy / standards, including the review of designs produced by others.
  • Ensure that all client specific solutions proposed are in line with the General Service Bureau product strategy
  • Analyse and design product enhancements sponsored by Product Management.
  • Assist in the design of areas of core functionality
  • Assist Product Strategy in designing solutions for potential new areas of the system and new products.
  • Produce Functional Specifications
  • Provide support to all other areas of the business, e.g. support and development.
  • Test new releases or write Test Plans and Conditions to be executed by the QA team, as required
  • Maintain product documentation, e.g. Gloss or Tarot Functional Statement and User Guides
  • Be involved in client implementations, right through from initial requirements gathering through to on-site presence providing consultancy or training both in the UK and Internationally
  • Manage daily workflow of tasks for deadline delivery
  • Provide business support and query resolution for all clients
  • Provide business expertise within client functional workshops for Gloss or Tarot
  • Assist in the delivery of Gloss sales demonstrations to clients
  • Design, organise and deliver User Training to clients and internally.
    • Skills & Requirements:-
  • Detailed hands-on knowledge of industry-standard back-office processing, including settlements (Swift, Crest, Euroclear), confirmations and accounting, gained within an Institutional / Retail banking or similar Financial Technology environment (at least 2-3 years)
  • Functional experience should cover International Equities, Fixed Income Securities and Corporate Actions
  • Deep experience in delivering change projects, with outsourcing project skills highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; the person in this role will have significant involvement with hands-on education and training of clients.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically, as required.
  • Previous experience of Gloss and/or Tarot an advantage but not essential.
  • Bi-lingual (Japanese would be a plus)
