My key client, a luxury retailer based in London are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join their team. As part of the team you will be reporting to the Head of IT and will be an integral part of the IT application development and cross functional teams.Purpose of RoleCustomer-focused and commercially driven, this role is founded on understanding and contributing to business need, establishing clarity on scope, outcomes/objectives and requirements to ensure the robust delivery of new digital technologies and operational processes that achieve competitive advantage for the business.This role includes clear accountability for capturing and interrogating the detail around proposed customer experience enhancements and digital product development, leading to business-critical deliverables specifying, validating and scripting change.The role is multi-faceted working across functions, with a diverse set of interested parties from digital, core business and technology. Challenging and exciting, the role must cut through ambiguity, embrace change and focus on the end goal of clarity of need.Capture & Analysis• Capture & log scope and headline requirements from the business• Understand & document opportunities to exploit and/or problems to be solved relative to "as-is"status• Work with key contributors (business SMEs, product owners) to analyse baseline business requirement set• Research (alongside technical support) likely data and system support required to meet need• Organise and manage requirements into a structured form for further assessment• Support evaluation of proposed product development to support creation of business case and financial valueSpecification & Validation• Work with key contributors (Head of IT, business SMEs, product owner, technical leads and analysts) to interrogate and challenge requirements, to achieve fuller detail and definition• Research and resolve queries, gaps and uncertainty• Identify interdependencies and impacts to ensure features and stories are defined relative to wider influences• Establish all requirements across functional capability, user-experience, operational activities and processes, data need and non-functional specifications• Define and document target, to-be process to be supported by future solution• Confirm and verify business requirements, including sign off with key stakeholders• Confirm understanding of requirements with technical teams and validate solution options• Script, organise and structure information into features and stories relative to end-users Required skills
