Business Analyst - Insurance Systems, Risk, Actuarial, Catastrophe Risk. Requirements Gathering, Stakeholder Engagement, Epics, User Stories, SQL, UAT. London / Flexible Working. £55k - £65k + Bonus +BenefitsGlobal Insurance corporation seeks a Business Analyst to drive improvements and support in the identification, analysis and documentation of business requirements in consultation with key business partners across multiple systems within various corporate divisions;this will be undertaken for business units in the UK and USA. This is a full life cycle Business Analysis role with extensive stakeholder engagement to elicit and define detailed requirements and high-level design documentation, Epics, user stories, activity workflows, business data dictionaries and user interface mock-ups/wireframes.Subsequently the successful Business Analyst will manage interaction with both the various business sponsors, subject matter experts to elicit and articulate business requirements and then support internal clients throughout various activities including projectplanning, requirements gathering & process definition. Finally, you will be responsible for overseeing system testing and UAT from a business perspective ensuring that system enhancements meet the strategic business needs of the various departments (Risk, Catastrophe, Actuarial etc) on a global basis.We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner who has experience within the full life cycle from requirements elicitation through to UAT. You will be a technical Business Analyst who can define requirements, undertake project planningactivities within a modified Agile environments (Sprint planning, Epics, User Stories, managing tickets in JIRA etc) and work closely with both business and technical teams. You may have been working as Product Owner and be comfortable in a role which sitssomewhere between BA and PO. As part of the role, you will be required to run some basic SQL queries to identify issues from time to time and therefore some competence in this area would be useful.You may have been working within the Insurance sector and if so any experience of the types of systems employed by global insurance companies would be useful incorporating Risk, Pricing, Actuarial systems etc but this is by no means essential. You may alternativelyhave been working in Financial Services, Banking, Consultancy or alternative sectors providing you can demonstrate the mix of stakeholder engagement and technical business analysis required. A flexible approach will be required due to the geographies of the business users (UK & USA) with flexible hours offered in return by the business; excellent organisational and communication skills are pre-requisite.Excellent opportunity for onward career development.
