Job Description

Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a Business Analyst - Anti Financial Crime (AVP) to work in their Anti-Financial Crime Modelling team based in London on a PAYE basis.Overview:AFC Modelling (AFCM) UK who are responsible for developing and optimizing methods and models to monitor clients transactional behaviour that aligns with the banks risk appetite.Reporting to the Vice President (Threat Analytics) AFC Modelling UK, the Business Analyst - Anti Financial Crime (AVP) is accountable for supporting model implementation and the completion of Model Governance and documentation, through engaging with keystakeholders, understanding and clearly articulating business requirements and providing supporting details that meet Model Risk Management (MoRM) Standard requirements, helping implement models to cover potential gaps identified in risk coverage, enhancingthe transaction monitoring platformKey responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Model Risk Management, fully understanding and clearly articulating requirements for documentation to meet the required MoRM standards.
  • Working effectively with the Threat Analytics Subject Matter Experts to identify, elicit and document business requirements, complete model documentation and adhere to governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the AFCM Internal Model Review team to ensure that all requirements and standards are met before submitting to MoRM, showing ability to amend and adapt to meet granular and complex requirements where necessary.
  • Support in development of presentations slides/decks/documentation to senior stakeholders and Model Owners
  • Playing a key role in Stakeholder management between AFCM and Key Stakeholder to determine modus operandi and obtain SME knowledge relevant to models to be implemented.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Risk Assessment or Quality Assurance in Financial Services, Banking or Regulatory environment.
  • Working knowledge of a major market AML Transaction Monitoring system, e.g. Actimize or Oracle Mantas.
  • Working knowledge of a major market Big Data Solutions, Data lakes, Hadoop, Cloudera etc.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality output (technical documentation, presentations, communications, etc.) in a clear, structured, comprehensive way and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal coupled with the ability to interpret complex requirements and to be a self-starter.
